By creating an account or using Fore The Cup, you agree to these terms.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself, and give us an email address you actually control - it is how you recover your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
A guest account lives on one device. If you lose the device or clear the app's data, that guest account and anything only it could reach is gone. Create a full account to keep it.
Running a tournament
Your first tournament is free. It is only counted once you have genuinely used it - not the moment you create it - so you can set one up, look around, and change your mind.
Running further tournaments requires a subscription. Subscriptions are billed through the App Store, renew automatically, and can be cancelled any time in your Apple account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period. Any free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends.
Invite codes
Anyone with a tournament's invite code can see that tournament. Share it only with people you want watching. An organiser can assign specific scorers to a match to restrict who may enter scores.
Scores
Fore The Cup records what people enter. It does not adjudicate. Every score is stamped with the account that entered it, which is there to help settle a disagreement - but the result of a match is between the people playing it, not something we decide.
Acceptable use
Do not use the app to harass anyone, to upload content you have no right to, or to attempt to break into other people's tournaments. We may suspend accounts that do.
What we promise, and what we do not
We work to keep the service running and your scores intact, but we provide it "as is". We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access - phones lose signal on golf courses, and servers have bad days. Keep a paper card for anything that really matters.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app. We may close accounts that breach these terms.
Changes
If these terms change materially we will update this page and the date above, and ask you to accept the new version in the app.
